SONGWRITING
Song Camp Saturdays (Gr 3-8)

We will write songs, sing and play instruments as a band, and record a demo! At the end of the session students will have an opportunity to perform their songs at a gig in Nashville for friends and family! Date/time TBA. We know scheduling is complicated, and you can also pay for two or three classes that work with your schedule by emailing our director at sarahbonsignore@gmail.com - please put Song Camp in the subject line.
Music Wings (grades k-3)

This course is perfect for students who love to sing, perform, write, create and play instruments!
Classes will run for 75 minutes, and will fall on SUNDAYS from 4:15pm-5:30pm on 11/12, 11/19, 12/3, 12/9 5pm Hood Place Culdesac performance, 12/10 holiday class/party 3pm-5pm, 1/21, Saturday 1/27 (optional gig), 2/4, 2/11, 2/25, 3/3 (Please note - There will be no classes over long weekends and Thanksgiving week).
Save the Date: Optional brunch performance opportunity at a great Nashville restaurant 615 Chutney - January 27th 11am-2pm - details closer to the time.
In this course students will learn about ~
- healthy vocal skills
- age appropriate repertoire in unison, two and three part harmony
- musicianship (hearing rhythm, intervals and harmony)
- note reading and writing through musical games
- playing close and open chords on piano, and accompanying on ukulele
- developing confidence and performance skills
- collaborating with others
- making friends and building a supportive arts community
- developing a lifelong love of music
Sarah Bonsignore (SPS Founder/Director) is a South African born American musician, singer songwriter, composer, educator, sync artist and producer with a masters degree in music and 20+ years of classroom teaching experience. Her music has been heard on radio and TV throughout South Africa and the US, and she is passionate about making the world a better place through the arts. She's also a mom of three boys at Lipscomb and Brentwood High and teaches music part time at BYCS :)

(K-6) Music and Arts Backyard Summer Camp!

Sarah is ecstatic to be programming her fourth "SingPlayStudios" Backyard summer camp in Brentwood, TN, for music and art loving students in grades k-8.
From Monday June 10th to FRIDAY, June 14th 2024 we will play many different instruments, sing, produce, paint, write, create, make new friends and play outdoor games.
The week will be led by seasoned K-12 musician/teacher and mom, Sarah Bonsignore, and middle school/high school art teacher and mom, Maryann McGinley, and will close with a backyard art show and musical concert in on the final night. Daily schedules and details will be confirmed closer to the time.
10am - 3pm M-TH and Noon to 6pm on Friday - our final show is at 6pm for friends and family!
$250 for the week will include the art and music supply fee

Students should bring a bagged lunch, snack and labeled water bottle, a notebook and pen, a three ring binder, an instrument if they want to play something other than piano/guitar/ukulele, and sunscreen.
At SingPlayStudios we believe in providing quality arts education for all, and building a safe, supportive and loving community, one based in the global languages of music and the arts. We will provide small group lessons in beginner piano, singing/chorus, art, guitar/ukulele, movement, ear training, songwriting and improvization and music theory. No experience necessary, but an open mind and a collaborative attitude will go a long way!
Sarah Bonsignore (SPS Director) is a South African born American musician, singer songwriter, composer, educator, sync artist and producer with a masters degree in music and 25+ years of classroom teaching experience. Her music has been heard on radio and TV throughout South Africa and the US, and she is passionate about making the world a better place through the arts. Sarah is currently curating an amazingly talented group of educators and creatives to help make the backyard summer camp experience a magical one.
The camp will be co-led by Maryann McGinley, Franklin artist, educator and mom with a masters in art education and a decade of teaching experience.
The studio is located in the Carondelet area, North of Concord, just off Wilson Pike. Our address will be communicated after registration.
